Why you should book a photographer year in advanced + tips to find one.
Booking a photographer a year in advance is crucial if you want to make sure you get exactly what you want for your special event. First and foremost, booking early allows you to secure your desired date and photographer, so you don't have to worry about someone else taking that date. Secondly, it gives you and the photographer ample time to discuss your vision and plan the shoot, ensuring that everything runs smoothly on the day of the event. Thirdly, booking early can save you money, as many photographers offer early bird deals for those who plan way ahead. All in all, booking early gives you peace of mind for your event and ensures that everything goes according to plan. As a photographer I always say to book your venue then book your photographer this way you can convey your plans to them for the big day and what you would like the photographer to incorporate in your wedding photos.

MY TIPS ON HOW TO FIND A PHOTOGRAPHER:
Finding a local wedding group Is probably my number one place and tip to find a wedding photographer, There are a lot of different deals and photographers that are looking for work! Always make sure to be transparent about how much hourly coverage you would like and a budget. My biggest recommendation is to make an anonymous post if you’re able with the Date/location/hourly coverage/budget so you won’t get bombarded with messages. This is such a underrated resource to find many different types of vendors.
ZOLA, WEDDING WIRE, THE KNOT, STYLE ME PRETTY - These websites are going to be some of your best friends during planning and I 100% utilizing these resources to plan and to find many different types of vendors. While some of these sites you have to pay to connect with other vendors it’s worth it in slimming out the type of photographers/videographers that you’re wanting and really makes the experience easier overall.
Remember to always check for reviews with your vendors and to look at their work and what they have to offer! Don’t forget to have contracts with all vendors.
HAPPY HUNTING!
